Core Framework
Core Framework can be used in two different legacy web workflow situations.
Core Framework as a mapped target
Section titled “Core Framework as a mapped target”Use this when the destination site already uses Core Framework and you want copied Pixflow layouts to use Core Framework variables.
Before copying:
- confirm Core Framework is installed and configured
- choose Core Framework in the Pixflow website framework selector
- copy the layout or component
- paste into Bricks
Pixflow rewrites supported variables before the output reaches your clipboard.
Core Framework with the Pixflow Framework
Section titled “Core Framework with the Pixflow Framework”This is different from mapping.
If you choose Pixflow Framework output and want to use Core Framework as the import method, follow Import framework files.
That route imports a Pixflow .core file and still requires the Main Pixflow Theme Styles JSON in Bricks.
Key difference
Section titled “Key difference”- Mapped Core Framework: keeps your site’s existing Core Framework setup and rewrites copied variables to match it.
- Pixflow Framework via Core Framework: imports Pixflow’s framework data into Core Framework.
Choose one route for the project and avoid mixing them.
